Obituary for David Scott Swenson

David Scott Swenson, 55, of Randall passed away December 28, 2017 at his home in Randall. A celebration of his life will be Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 2 pm at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Private family burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery near Randall.
David was born on January 19, 1962 in Story City to Melborne and Betty (Pedersen) Swenson. He was baptized and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church in Randall. He lived in Randall and Story City all of his life. In 1982 he married Brenda Knous and to this union three children were born, Jenna, Jessica and Cody.
He had a love for animals, especially horses. David worked at I.S.U. veterinary medical clinic for several years. He also loved to hunt and fish, especially at Don Williams Lake.
David is survived by his children, Jenna, Jessica, and Cody; four grandchildren, James, Amuma, Nyla and Reggie; his mother, Betty of Story City; and his sister, Sherry (Steve) Erickson of Story City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melborne in 2010 and his brother, Craig in 1984.
